Bromyard head teacher takes up post of Principal at Minister College

Adrian Long, head teacher at Queen Elizabeth Humanities College in Bromyard has been appointed principal of Minster College in Leominster.

The Minister College’s current Principal, Richard North is leaving to take up a new position in Worcester this September and after a rigorous recruitment process, the college’s governing body have appointed Adrian Long to replace him.

Adrian Long has been head teacher at Queen Elizabeth Humanities College for three years.  During this time the school has gained specialist status as a Humanities College, improved its GCSE pass rate from 37 percent to 59 percent (five A*-C grades) and been awarded a number of kitemarks, including Sportsmark, International School and Artsmark Silver.

Adrian will take up his new post in January 2009.
