The county’s past will be coming alive throughout Herefordshire Archaeology Week which kicks off on Saturday, July 19.
Those interested in Herefordshire’s past will be able to submerse themselves in a week-long feast of events which include a children’s activity day, guided walks and the opportunity to meet the county’s resident Roman soldier!
“Herefordshire has a rich and diverse heritage and we’re delighted to be able to lay on these events throughout Archaeology Week,” said the council’s archaeological projects officer, Tim Hoverd.
“We’ve tried to lay something on in all corners of the county so anyone with an interest in archaeology shouldn’t have too far to travel to an event near them,” he added.
