The keynote speaker at the ceremony will be Ekow Armah from the National Healthy Schools team who will present the awards with Councillor Phillip Price, cabinet member for schools and ITC.
“Our schools have thoroughly embraced the healthy schools agenda which means that our children are benefitting from healthier school environments,” said Councillor Price.
“Almost 80 percent of our schools now have the Healthy School Status which is well above the national average of 56 percent,” he continued.
“This is excellent news and shows that Herefordshire schools recognise the importance of promoting healthier lifestyles to our children and young people. Well done to all the schools and to the healthy schools team for the support and guidance they have provided.”
