The Library service aims to broaden the traditional library audience by publicising the services provided for children and young people.
The sessions on offer during the event will include a teddy bears picnic lunchtime session, pyjama bedtime stories, 'relax kids' meditation sessions and baby bounce and rhyme sessions. Children will get the chance to 'chill out' in the reading tent and there will be other fun things on offer.
The Big Chill Festival attracts more than 100,000 visitors from all over the UK to enjoy a weekend filled with a variety of live music and performance.
"This is not the first time Herefordshire Council has had a presence at the Big Chill, last year Herefordshire Tourism was on hand during the weekend to promote the University of the Great Outdoors and the response was fantastic. The weekend is ideal for the whole family and this additional entertainment opportunity for our younger visitors to have some fun," said Jane Lewis, Cultural Services Manager.
The Big Chill is open to visitors from August 1 to 3 and entry is by ticket only.
