Following Herefordshire Council being named regional winner for the 2008 Enterprising Britain Award, the county has gone through to the national finals.
Herefordshire is the enterprise capital of the West Midlands because the county's economic prospects have been transformed, high quality jobs have been created and the quality of life has been improved by close partnership working between business and the local authority.
Judges for the competition with be in Herefordshire on the 23 June 2008, visiting and meeting business representatives, people influential in developing skills and training, and community and economic projects that have made a difference to people's quality of life.
