As part of Adult Learners' Week 2008, a Learners' Fair is to be
held for Herefordshire's adults, whatever their age and background,
who are looking to give learning a go for the first time, or
looking for something new to learn.
The Fair will be held on Monday, May 19, from 11.30am to 3.30pm at
The Kindle Centre, ASDA Supermarket, Belmont Road, Hereford HR2
7JE.
Information and advice on a variety of learning opportunities will be available.
There will be information from organisations including: Kyre Oak, Community First, Deaf Direct, HELP, Herefordshire College of Technology, Herefordshire Council's Adult and Community Learning & Family Learning, Hereford Learn Direct, Herefordshire Primary Care Trust Training Centre, HOPE Family Centre, John Kyrle High School, The Learning Champions for Herefordshire, Leap Education Services - Herefordshire Mind, Pertemps, Riverside Training, Shypp , WEA and Workmatch.
These organisations will have friendly staff who will help visitors find the information they need and discuss any queries.
Throughout the fair, there will also be a range of taster sessions taking place.
These include opportunities to MOT your basic skills, computers, craft, cookery for family health and holiday Spanish.
An evening session will be held from 7pm to 9pm. This will take the form of an informal discussion group looking at climate change.
