Charges for parking in Ross on Sundays and Bank Holidays will be free from June 2 and parking at the long-stay Wilton Road car park will also remain free of charge.
The decisions have been made as part of a review into car parking charges throughout the county and the abolition of charges on Sundays and Bank Holidays has come in direct response to calls by Ross Town Council for this to be done.
This is the first review of parking charges since 2003 and most charges are only increasing by 10p or 20p.
Charges for the long-stay Homs Road car park will be 70p all day while charges at the long-stay Kings Acre car parks will be 80p all day. At the long-stay Kyrle Street car park, fees will be £1 all day.
Councillor Brian Wilcox, Herefordshire Council's cabinet member for highways and transportation, said: "We have listened to the views of local councillors and have abolished all parking charges for Sundays and Bank Holidays which we hope will encourage more people to visit the town on these days.
"Commuters will still benefit from a free car park in Wilton Road and the small price increases in other car parks are the first in more than four years," he added.
At the medium stay Corn Exchange, Crossfields and Edde Cross Street car parks, the cost for one hour's parking will be 40p. Season tickets for Edde Cross Street remain unchanged at £45 per quarter.
Prices for the medium stay Red Meadow and The Maltings car parks will be 40p for one hour while all-day parking will be £2.80.
