Plans for bungalow referred

Members of the southern area planning sub-committee were minded at their meeting on Wednesday, March 5 to approve plans to build a bungalow to replace an existing residential caravan at Trewaugh Farm, Three Ashes, Herefordshire.

The matter has now been referred to the head of planning services and is likely to be decided at the next planning committee meeting on April 11.

This was an outline application to replace the caravan with a bungalow, reserving all detailed matters for future consideration.

The application site, which lies in open countryside, includes a vegetable garden and incorporates a collection of glasshouses and polytunnels.

Members were told the applicant wanted to erect a bungalow to be occupied by his daughter, her husband and their two young children.

Llangarron Parish Council supported the application.

No agricultural appraisal was submitted with the application to establish a functional need for the bungalow. As such, the proposal is considered contrary to policies H7 and H8 of the Herefordshire Unitary Development Plan 2007.
