Residents across Herefordshire are being urged to join in and demonstrate pride in their county by voting for their top attraction.
Residents can cast their vote for one of ten top spots by visiting the Pride of Place website. The poll can be accessed from council websites until 30 November 2007 after which the final results will be declared.
So far 24 per cent of voters have chosen Hereford Cathedral as the place that makes them most proud in the area, but if you prefer Dore Abbey, Victoria Bridge, Weobley, or any of the other nominated places then cast your vote.
The Pride of Place poll is part of the Government's 'Connect to your Council' campaign, which aims to encourage citizens to access their local authority services online - anytime, anywhere. People can now use council websites to find out anything from planning information to applying for school places.
Alternatively, they can visit www.direct.gov.uk/mycouncil for more details of the range of online services now available.
