Herefordshire youngsters who dig dinosaurs should get down to their local library this half term.

Children aged between 4 and 12 years old will have the chance to make their own dinosaur fossil and find out more about these amazing creatures at a series of Dino Dig events being staged across the county.

The Dino Digs are being held on:

Wednesday, May 30: Kington Library, 10am until 11am; Colwall Library, 10.30am until 11.30am; Leominster Library, 2.30pm until 3.30pm.
Thursday, May 31: Weobley Library, 1.30pm until 2.30pm; Ledbury Library, 2.30pm until 3.30pm.
Friday, June 1: Hereford Library, 2.30pm until 3.30pm.

At Ross Library youngsters will also get the chance to help make a giant pterodactyl for the children’s library in a Decorate a Dino session between 10am and noon on Friday, June 1.

Anne-Marie Dossett, reader development librarian, said: “All children are fascinated by dinosaurs and these sessions offer a fun way for them to find out more. Tickets are selling fast so I would encourage parents to get their children booked on as soon as possible.”

Tickets for the sessions are on sale now for £1.
