The exhibition - Turn The World Around - will be staged at High Town, Hereford, on Tuesday, June 5 from 10am until 4pm, to mark World Environment Day 2007.
People attending will be able to enjoy music and street theatre and as well as go home with lots of free goodies to help them save both money and the planet.
Ideas and technologies will be showcased that all county residents can take on board to help reduce the amount of energy they waste and the amount of greenhouse gases they emit, both of which will help to reduce the impact of climate change.
There will also be demonstrations of eco-friendly architecture and design together with advice for county residents on how to reduce fuel bills by making homes more energy efficient through measures such as better insulation and using low energy light bulbs.
New technologies for creating energy such as solar, wind, hydro, ground source, biofuel and biomass will also be showcased.
Householders can gain tips on cutting down the amount of household waste they send to landfill sites and gardeners can gain hints on how to be more self sufficient by careful choosing what they grow.
Sustainable modes of transport such as car sharing, walking and
cycling will also be promoted.
Trish Marsh, Herefordshire Council's sustainability manager,
said: "We are so fortunate to live in such a beautiful county
and this event aims to show how everyone can play their own
part in ensuring future generations enjoy the same quality of
life as we do.
"Some of the tips are small, easy measures that can be taken by everyone and others will provide food for thought on how we can make major changes to our lifestyles which will ultimately safeguard the future of our planet," she added.
