Footpath to be diverted

Members of the regulatory committee agreed to make the diversion order on the public footpath which presently runs through the Weston’s cider factory.

Mr T. Weston of H. Weston & Sons Cider Ltd made the application to take the path out of the cider factory and provide a safer route for users.

The proposed route will have new gates to replace existing stiles and be clearly separated from the industrial activities of the factory

The applicant has agreed to pay for advertising and to reimburse Herefordshire Council’s costs in making the diversion order under the Highways Act 1980, Section 119.
