The school is in poor physical condition, and earlier this year the council pledged to build a new secondary school for the town following the award of a £25-million government grant.
The new development provides an opportunity to design teaching spaces fit for the 21st century and will also offer a wide range of additional activities for young people, together with family learning and parenting support.
The council wants all members of the local school community to be involved in planning the new facility and has organised a community consultation evening in the main hall of the Minster College on Thursday 16th November at 7pm.
Cllr Don Rule, cabinet member for children and young people, said: “We have the opportunity to develop something innovative and exciting in Leominster which the whole community will benefit from.
“I would urge people to come to the consultation evening and share their views with us so that we can make sure our plans are fit for purpose and that the new school will serve Leominster for decades to come.”
