Herefordshire Council has refurbished the original 1905 Kington library building, giving it a modern and light feel and includes full disabled access to both floors. The work cost £535,000.
Services available include the full library service and the Info In Herefordshire service.
The facility will also host the Kington History society for local enquiries and advice.
The new design incorporates the key features of the original 1905 building with a modern and light feel and includes full disabled access to both floors.
There are also improved working facilities for staff and space available for community use and hire.
The Kington Centre will be open six days a week.
Cllr Roy Stockton, cabinet member for community services, said: “The new facility is one which the Kington community can be justly proud to have in its town centre and represents the council’s commitment to continual improving its level of public service. The joint delivery of services represents the Herefordshire Council approach to improving access to its services.”
The official opening will be on November 27 and will be carried out by Council Leader, Cllr Roger Phillips.
