Breastfeeding group launched in Leominster

14 March 2006

Sure Start is launching a new breastfeeding support group called “The Baby Café,” at Coningsby Children’s Centre, Coningsby Road, Leominster, on Friday March 24.

It will be running every Friday from 10.30 – 12 noon offering breastfeeding help, information and support.

In a friendly café style atmosphere mothers will have an opportunity to relax and breastfeed in a breastfeeding friendly environment while enjoying a coffee. There will be lots of practical and supportive advice for pregnant & breastfeeding mums - whatever stage they are at.

Community midwives & local health visitors are on hand to provide one to one consultations and other mums visiting The Baby Café may share their own experiences, which could help someone else.

The Baby Café aims to help you continue breastfeeding for as long (or short a time) as you choose to and support you when breastfeeding comes to an end (as it always does!).

Leaflets and books about various aspects of breastfeeding are also available. If you would like further information then please contact Nicki Howard on (01432) 383340.
