Fancy a career in childcare?

08 March 2006

Anyone interested in working with children as a career, or wanting information about childcare available in Herefordshire, should make sure they don’t miss a key event taking place in Hereford later this month.

The Herefordshire EYDCP Childcare Fair - Working in Childcare, Early Years and Playwork, will be held on Wednesday, March 15th, at Hereford’s Maylord Shopping Centre and will be open to the public from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

Representatives from organisations from across the county will be on hand to provide information and guidance.

If you’ve got children, bring them along - an entertainer will be on hand with puppets and balloon models.

While your children are occupied, you’ll be able to find out about training advice, job opportunities and information on all aspects of childcare.

Fiona Condie, Recruitment and Marketing Officer (Childcare Services), said: “Working with children can be a rewarding career and forms an essential section of Herefordshire’s workforce.

“We encourage people who are considering working in this field to come down and see what they can offer and what opportunities are available.

“The EYDCP Childcare Fair is a great opportunity to speak to people face-to-face and gather more information on careers in this valuable field.”
