Designs of the new street layout will also be on show along will 3D images to help bring the street scene to life.
As part of an earlier consultation, staged in October last year, public views were sought on how High Town should look after the works were complete.
New designs have been drawn up by Herefordshire Council’s consultants, Owen Williams, which take on board earlier public comment.
Now visitors, shoppers, businesses and other interested parties are being asked for their views before the final plans are firmed up.
Under the refurbishment scheme street clutter will be cleared, High Town will be repaved and new landscaping work carried out.
The aim is to make Hereford City Centre a more attractive and pleasant environment.
Cllr Brian Wilcox, Cabinet Member (Highways and Transportation), said: “Work on the refurbishment of High Town will start after the May Fair and is due to be completed before the Christmas season.
“The work will take into account major events such as The Three Choirs Festival and arrangements will be made not to carry out work in the centre of High Town during this period.
“As part of the work, High Town will be repaved from HSBC to The Old House.
“Now we want to hear from the public on what street furniture we should use and where it should be located. Things such as seats, lighting columns and mobile planters all have to be decided.”
Alan Ronald, Economic Regeneration Officer, added: “Since the last consultation on the High Town refurbishment in October last year, the designs have moved on.
“The changes made take into account comments received from the public, and more in depth reviews of the feasibility and maintainability of the designs.
“We have chosen to adopt the designs attained during the earlier consultation, which about 60 per cent of people were in favour of. These will now provide the basis of the new scheme.”
Mobile planters with trees and plants will form part of the streetscene. The use of mobile planters will allow the placement to vary from time to time, and add more variation.
Retailers directly affected by the work will be consulted on implementation issues.
