The popular five-day event, to be staged between December 27 – 31, will include 12 walks taking in some of the County’s most dramatic landscape.
Walks are aimed at all levels and range from three miles to eight.
Prices, which start at £3 and go up to £25, include a professional guide, meal and story telling depending on the trial.
A highlight of this year’s winter programme is the ‘Ghosts and Gouls of Garway Hill,’ an evening walk on December 27 taking in 3.5 miles near Garway.
The trail costs £25 and includes a full home-cooked meal and scary Pagan tales.
Other walks include the ‘Edward Goff's Trail’ on New Year’s Eve. This walk links 26 schools established by Goff between 1738 – 1813 in South Herefordshire.
‘See View into Worcestershire,’ on December 31, is a five-mile trek along the old shire ditch between Herefordshire & Worcestershire with tea at the See View Café.
‘A Walk in the Golden Valley,’ December 28, a scenic six-mile trek along the Golden Valley, costs £16. The price includes a hearty farmhouse lunch.
The Herefordshire Winter Walking Festival, run in conjunction with the Herefordshire Summer Walking Festival, is organised by Herefordshire Tourism.
Next year’s summer festival will be held between June 17 – 25 and features more than 60 walks
