The November edition of Herefordshire Council’s news magazine will include a special two-page questionnaire on the trial scheme.
People are being encouraged to fill out the questionnaire and return the form, free post, to the Council.
Herefordshire Matters will hit the doorsteps from Monday, November 14.
Under the trial scheme Widemarsh Street is closed to traffic from 10.30am – 4.30pm, seven days a week.
The aim of the trial is to gauge the impacts of pedestrianisation on the whole of the City before deciding on the long-term viability of the change.
A decision over pedestrianisation is expected early in the New Year.
Cllr Brian Wilcox, Cabinet Member (Highways and Transportation), said: “The two-page questionnaire in Herefordshire Matters allows us to reach every single household in the County.
“I would like to take this opportunity to actively encourage people to fill out the questionnaire and send it back to the Council at the address provided.
“This is an important decision for the future of Hereford and we want the public to play their role in the decision-making process.
“The postage is free but people will have to provide their own envelope.”
Meanwhile, a petition signed by 1,279 people in favour of pedestrianisation in Widemarsh Street was handed over to Cllr Wilcox at the meeting of Full Council, Brockington, last Friday (Nov 4).
Herefordshire Council is continuing to consult with traders, residents, businesses and visitors over the pedestrianisation scheme.
