This is the eighth annual forum and will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 9.30am – 1pm, at the Courtyard Studio Theatre.
The theme of the forum is ‘Planning Your Event’ and will feature two experienced speakers, Dr Ellie Parker and Amanda Fitzwilliams. Herefordshire Council’s Cultural Services Manager, Natalia Silver, will chair the forum.
Dr Ellie Parker, who founded the New Theatre Works, will give the first talk ‘From Idea to Delivery’.
She will look at a specific project as a case study and analyse the whole planning process and highlight challenges that can arise along the way.
The second talk of the day ‘The Art of Finding an Audience’ will be given by Amanda Fitzwilliams, an experienced arts publicist who now co-ordinates hArt week.
Amanda will look at how to successfully market your event or festival and get the biggest attendance possible.
“The forum is there to give event and festival organisers practical tips and the benefit of expert advice. We also encourage delegates to share their experiences and advice,” said Cllr Roy Stockton, Cabinet Member (Community Services).
“There will be something for everyone regardless of the scale of your event.”
Tickets are only available in advance and have to be booked by November 11. All tickets cost £8.
