New book club in Ross

14 October 2005

A new book club will be launched in Ross-on-Wye next month.

Ross Book Club will meet for its inaugural meeting at Ross Library, on November 10, between 6.30pm - 7.30pm.

The club, supported by Herefordshire Council’s Library Service, will discuss the latest novels as well as classics in a friendly atmosphere, said librarian Anne-Marie Dossett.

The group will meet at the library on the second Thursday of each month.

“More and more people are joining book groups all over the country, and new groups are springing up everywhere,” said Anne-Marie Dossett.

“If you enjoy reading and talking to others about books, or just listening to other opinions, then why not come along and give it a try?

“It’s free to join and the library will supply all the sets of books. There’s a good range of classic and current fiction – Steinbeck to Zadie Smith, Hardy to Haddon – together with some poetry books and non-fiction, too.”

For more details contact Anne-Marie Dossett on (01432) 260646.
