The much sought after bins, which have been like gold dust throughout the county, will be on offer at Hereford Racecourse on Sunday, October 9, between 10am and 3pm.
The bins will be at even more discounted price than normal, starting from only £3 for a compost bin - compost accessories will also be available at reduced prices.
The bins are part of Herefordshire Council’s Mission Impossible scheme; aimed at encouraging residents to reduce the amount of household waste sent to landfill.
Laura Preece, the Council’s Recycling Officer, said: “Residents can reserve a compost bin by calling the reservation hot line on 0870 849 4875"
Cllr Phil Edwards, Cabinet Member (Environment), said: ”As a keen gardener and composter, I am very supportive of this home composting initiative. The best environmental option for all is to attempt keeping grass, shrub cuttings and kitchen waste at home to compost and reuse”.
Council officers will be on hand during the day, along with WRAP representatives, to offer advice on other eco-friendly products and ways to cut down on the amount of waste produced.
