Nelson in Herefordshire, a one-month display at Hereford Museum and Art Gallery, will run throughout October and will include commemorative mugs from 1805 and 1905, a replica uniform and paintings.
The display will also highlight his connections with the county, which culminated with his visit in August 1802 when he was granted the ‘Freedom of the City’, and the erection of a monument to his memory in 1809.
Private collectors have lent many of the artefacts for the exhibition to the museum.
The exhibition, which runs from October 1 – 29, is free of charge. The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am – 5pm. Closed on Sundays and Mondays
