Community Forums are your opportunity to have your say on issues affecting your community.
Community Forums handle a broad array of issues from matters that concern your local community to matters that will impact on the whole county.
Agenda items for this round of Forums include homelessness, fly-tipping, and the Highways maintenance plan to name just a few.
If you have an issue that you’re particularly interested in you can request that you’re given an update on it at your next meeting.
Your views go straight to senior councillors and management as a representative from Cabinet and the Council’s senior management team are present at each meeting.
A summary report from each round of Community Forums is also presented to Cabinet to ensure your voice is heard. This report is also available on the Council’s website, www.herefordshire.gov.uk.
All meetings start at 7.30pm and will be held at the following dates and venues:
· North Herefordshire - Thurs Sept 29, Bridge Street Sports Centre, Leominster
· Ross-on-Wye – Tue Oct 4 , John Kyrle High School
· Central Herefordshire – Thurs Oct 6, The Simpson Hall, Burghill
Full details, including agenda items can be found on the council’s website.
Community Forums are open to everyone and if a Forum outside your area is covering an item you’re particularly interested in you’re more than welcome to attend that meeting.
Cllr Roger Phillips, Leader of Herefordshire Council, said: “We take listening to our residents very seriously and Community Forums are just one way in which we get to hear your views.
“The Community Forums have proved to be a very popular way of getting your voice heard and finding out about issues of interest to you and your community.
“The fact that there are so many items of local interest on the agendas for this round prove that people are making good use of these meetings.”
