This is another chance to see behind the scenes at the museum and tour the reserve collection up close and personal.
“Although it’s possible to visit the centre at any time,” says Lara Latcham, Visitor Services Officer, “it is necessary to make an appointment. Friday is different, people can just drop in.”
“Heritage Open days are an annual event in the month of September,” she added. “Many historic houses and other sites of interest that are not normally open to the public open during these days.”
“We thought that it would be nice to give the public the opportunity to drop in to the centre without making an appointment.”
“Heritage Services staff will be on duty to show people around and answer questions. As always the event is free. We are hoping that people might be able to drop in during their lunchtime or after work.”
Unfortunately there is no parking available in Friar Street and visitors should use the nearby public car park at Greyfriars and then walk up to the Resource Centre in Friar Street behind Saint Nicholas Church.
The event is free.
The Museum Resource and Learning Centre has been generously supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Herefordshire Council.
