Sure Start Leominster and Kington Partnership Board, part of Herefordshire Council’s Children’s Services, will update and answer questions on the new complex, which is due to open in January 2006.
The Board, which consists of parents, voluntary groups and statutory members, will meet at The Talbot Hotel, West Street, Leominster, on Friday, May 13, between 10.30am – 1.30pm.
Part of the agenda will be an update on the new children’s complex in Coningsby Road.
Once complete the centre will boast a wide range of services under one roof including outreach family support, specialised family support and facilities for children with special needs as well as family health services.
Andy Gosling, Sure Start Programme Manager, said: “The Sure Start Leominster and Kington Partnership Board meeting is an opportunity for parents and members of the public to have their say on how services are delivered in their community.
“It is also an opportunity to learn more about the new children’s centre, which when it opens next year will be of huge community asset.”
“Questions are invited from members of the public. If you have a query that you want to raise at this meeting the closing date for written questions is Wednesday May 11.
“Written questions should be submitted to the Sure Start office, Info-in-Herefordshire, Corn Square, Leominster.”
