Electors in Herefordshire go to the Polls on Thursday 6 May 2010 to elect their member of parliament for the Hereford & South Herefordshire and North Herefordshire Constituencies.

Have you registered to Vote?

Everyone should have re-register last year, the forms were sent out last September.  If you are not sure you returned the form or if you have moved house since then and have not registered with your new details, you need to register NOW.  Registering to vote only takes a few minutes.  You can either download a Herefordshire Council rolling registration form or download from the independent elections watchdog, the Electoral Commission website http://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk

The deadline to register to vote at the elections on Thursday 6 May 2010 is Tuesday 20 April 2010.

Where is your Polling Station.

Polling stations are located all around the county and are in a variety of venues. Many are in village halls or community centres and a few are in schools. Your poll card will tell you which polling station you need to go to vote. Polling stations are open from 7:00am until 10:00pm. A list of polling stations can be found at the bottom of this page.

You do not need a poll card to go down to your Polling Station and vote but you do need to be registered.
