Local Government Elections
Local Government Elections for all County Wards and all Parishes takes place every four years on the first Thursday in May.
If you wish to view our boundaries for Herefordshire we cannot supply any maps. You can access a website by Ordnance Survey which gives you free access to look at all our boundaries. If you wish to visit the site their website address is http://www.election-maps.co.uk/.
If you are interested in undertaking any of the roles below, please download our Staff Details Form and return it to us at Electoral Services, Town Hall, St Owen Street, Hereford, HR1 2PJ. Courier (H14). Email elections@herefordshire.gov.uk
Role/Fee
Presiding Officer £195 plus (Training £40, Travel £15 and Mobile £5) -You must have previously worked as a Poll Clerk.
Poll Clerk £115 plus (Training £40 and Travel £5)
Verification/ Counting Assistants £17 per hour (Thursday & Friday Count)
Postal Vote Issuers £7.50 per hour
Postal Vote Openers £8.50 per hour
If you wish to put your name forward to do Polling Duties (Presiding Officer/Poll Clerk) you will be required to attend training which is compulsory.
