The Research Team produce profiles combining a range of statistics about different areas within the County. Most are available to download from the box below.

A two page summary of Facts and Figures about the whole County is updated at least annually, and contains information such as current population figures, unemployment counts and numbers employed in each industry. A summary of 2001 Census Key Statistics for the county compared with England & Wales as a whole is also accessible from the box below.

The ward and market town profiles, usually available on this page, have been removed as they contain obsolete population estimates. They will be replaced once more age-group detail is published, but in the meantime population figures can be assessed on the 'population' page and profiles containing key statistics from the 2001 Census are available on the 'Census' page.
