Don't worry if you don't know the full postcode - you can still use the ward lookup file at the bottom of this page to find the ward profile you need if you know the name of the village, parish or LSOA you're interested in.
Important notice
Herefordshire Council Research Team are currently developing a new website, drawing together information currently presented on the Herefordshire Council and Herefordshire Partnership sites. The new site should go "live" in January 2010. You may need to update any bookmarks or links you have to either of the current sites.
The Research Team produce profiles combining a range of statistics about different areas of Herefordshire. Most are available to download from the resource boxes at the bottom of this page.
A two page summary of Facts and Figures about the whole County is updated at least annually, and contains information such as current & forecast population, unemployment counts and numbers employed in each industry. A summary of 2001 Census Key Statistics for the county, with national comparisons, is also accessible from the first box below.
Individual area profiles provide information on topics including population, employment, deprivation, educational attainment and health for every ward in the county. Where possible information is also given for Lower Super Output Areas (LSOAs) within the ward, as well as comparative figures for the county. The profiles include some 2001 Census statistics, but also more up-to-date information from other sources; full census Key Statistics ward profiles are still available from our 'Census' section. Please note that new population estimates have been published since the profiles were created; the profiles will be updated later this year but in the meantime the estimates can be found on our 'Population' page
LSOAs are statistical geographies of about 1,500 people, which means that one can cover several parishes in rural areas. However, far more data is available for LSOAs; parish-level information is generally only from the 2001 Census. The profiles of census Key Statistics for parishes are still available by contacting the Research Team.
The ward area profiles can be accessed directly from the third resource box below, or why not try our new postcode search and interactive mapping facility on the 'Find Your Area' page?
If you don't want to search on a postcode, the 'lookup' file in the resources box will help you find out which ward profile you need, as long as you know the name of the parish, village or LSOA you are interested in. There are maps in each profile to help put the areas in context.
Similar profiles for Hereford city and the market towns of Bromyard, Kington, Ledbury, Leominster and Ross-on-Wye can be accessed directly from the second resource box below. It may also be possible to create profiles for bespoke 'catchment' areas by grouping together LSOAs - please contact us.

Please note that there is a typographical error in the 'Age structure of ward population' table and chart at the top of page 3 in each of the profiles below - the age range of '75 - 84' should be '75 - 79'.
