Turning an old sports youth centre in central Ross into a welcoming environment for young arts enthusiasts is no easy, or cheap, job, but changes being made include a suitable performing space, i.e. a 200-250 seat auditorium; a computer facility with Internet access, graphic, photographic and moving image software; a coffee bar and meeting/social room; an exhibition space with art studios; and a soundproofed music rehearsal and recording space.

The environmental themes are incorporated into the arts genres through the use of a water and river theme, for example linking with the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty's (AONB) Wye Valley Walk, and by placing sculptures along the river Wye at strategic points. These sculptures use the skills that have been learnt through the many scrap-metal workshops that take place at the Creative Learning Centre.
