Community Finance and Enterprise

The Community Finance and Enterprise Officer works to support the development of Credit Unions and the social enterprise sector in Herefordshire. Social Enterprises are organisations which trade for a social purpose. This includes everything from co-operatives to charitable businesses, selling a wide variety of goods and services.

Current Priorities are:

• Supporting the inception and establishment of the Kindle (South Wye) Development Trust.
• Supporting the development of Moneybox, Herefordshire's Credit Union.
• Co-ordination of support for social enterprises in Herefordshire.
• Working with Market Towns and South Wye Regeneration Partnership to ensure long-term sustainability when funding finishes.
