Registration service fees

Births

• There is no fee for registering a birth
• After the birth has been registered, the Registrar will issue you with a short birth certificate free of charge, however a full birth certificate can also be purchased at the time of registration for the cost of £4.00

Deaths

• There is no fee for registering a death
• The cost of each death certificate purchased at the time of registration is £4.00

Marriages

• Notice of marriage £35.00 per person
• Register Office Ceremony (Monday-Friday ) £45.00
• Register Office Ceremony (Saturday morning) £80.00
  Register Office Ceremony (Saturday afternoon) £150.00
• Saturday fees will apply on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve
• Marriage certificate issued at the time of registration £4.00
• Commemorative certificate £10.00
• Attendance of registrar at a registered building £84.00

Attendance of registration staff at approved venue

• Monday - Friday  £275.00 
• Saturday              £300.00 
• Sunday/Bank Holiday £375.00  This rate will also apply on Christmas Eve, New Years Eve and Easter Saturday. 

Civil partnerships

• Notice of partnership £35.00 per person
• Register Office Ceremony (Monday-Friday) £45.00
• Register Office Ceremony (Saturday morning) £80.00 
• Register Office Ceremony (Saturday afternoon) £150.00
• Saturday fees will apply on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve
• Partnership certificate (at the time of registration) £4.00 and (subsequently) £10.00

• Full birth certificate £10.00
• Short birth certificate £10.00 (Passport and job applications now require a full birth certificate)
• Certificates from current registers issued after the time of registration £7.00

• Priority service - the fee for certificates on demand is £25.00. This does not include certificates from current registers
• UK Postage - 50p if we post your certificate out to you - alternatively it may be collected from the issuing office

 

Citizenship ceremonies

• There is no charge for successful applicants to attend a group ceremony
• Private ceremony £50.00 

Approved premises
