School crossing patrols
Our School Crossing Patrols provide a safe crossing point for children walking to and from schools.Requests for additional school crossing patrols can be made in writing. We will survey the area using a vehicle and pedestrian flow count to see if it meets the criteria in the national guidelines.
Sites are monitored regularly to ensure that they continue to meet these guidelines.
Parents can help by encouraging their children to make use of the patrol. Drivers can help by parking away from the crossing point.
