How the partnership makes a difference

Herefordshire is already a safe place to live.

However, unfortunately crime still occurs. Herefordshire Community Safety and Drugs Partnership is working hard to reduce the number of these crimes to make Herefordshire an even safer place to live, work and visit.

Projects and initiatives

Herefordshire Community Safety and Drugs Partnership is involved in a number of projects and initiatives to tackle our priority areas. These include:

Public advice and information

The Partnership provides crime prevention and harm minimisation advice and information through publications, the internet, local events, education and the media. This plays a key role in reducing crime and ensuring people feel safe and secure in their communities.

Project work and campaigns

Herefordshire Community Safety and Drugs Partnership supports both local and national campaigns and projects that relate to its priorities. Recent examples include working with Streetscene to build a database of graffiti in Herefordshire, planning a campaign to raise public awareness of Hepatitis C, and linking retail radios across the county to the main CCTV control room.

Support for local services

We actively support and promote a number of services in Herefordshire including drug, alcohol, and domestic abuse services such as Family Drug Support, West Mercia Women's Aid and the Community Alcohol Service. Please see the advice pages for more details of how to contact these services.
