Partnership priorities

Herefordshire Community Safety and Drugs Partnership undertakes regular strategic reviews to identify local priorities. Performance is monitored around these priorities against government targets.

A priority area is identified through extensive research, including community consultation and the collection, gathering and analysis of data from many different agencies and sources.

Strategic priorities are then translated into action plans that are implemented through the Partnership and its groups.

Herefordshire Community Safety and Drugs Partnership's strategic plan 2008-2011 focuses on five key areas:

  • Reducing Crime through Offender Management and other interventions.
  • Reducing Drug and Alcohol Harm
  • Promoting and Delivering increased Road Safety
  • Providing Community Reassurance in Anti-Social Behaviour, Disorder and Crime
  • Multi-Agency and Community Dynamic Tasking and Co-ordination

Two other themes were identified as having such impact across all other areas, that they should be considered within each of the other 5 groups individually. These are:

  • Young People (victims and offenders)
  • Violent Crime

For more information on how to have a say in what these priorities should be see the get involved page.
