Bridleways

250 miles of Herefordshire’s Rights of Way network are bridleways. A bridleway may be used for riding or leading a horse, as well as for walking. Cycling is also permitted, providing cyclists give way to riders and pedestrians. However driving a horse-drawn vehicle is not permitted.

Promoted Horse Riding Routes

The Three Rivers Ride is a promoted horse riding route that has been set up as a partnership between Herefordshire Council, the British Horse Society and local landowners.

The majority of The Three Rivers Ride passes through the County covering some 60 miles.

The route begins at Tidbatch in Worcestershire crossing through Herefordshire over the Rivers Lugg and Wye. The route then goes on into Wales crossing the River Usk, and ends at The Brecon Beacons National Park Visitor Centre in Linabus.

The complete route covers some 95 miles which is waymarked with finger posts and bridleway markers.

The route is also suitable for cyclists and walkers.
