A Highways Amenity (street furniture) licence is required to place items of street furniture on the highway such as chairs, tables etc and this area is governed by the 1980 Highways Act. Public notice of the application must be given
detailing the proposal and deadline for
representations. All representations received must be considered. Any other relevant authorities must be consulted. Consents must not be unreasonably withheld. |
