Hereford Victorian Christmas Market 2011

The Victorian Christmas Market returned to Commercial Street, Hereford,  for a 2 day extravaganza on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th December 2011. It was the perfect time to buy Christmas gifts or treats for yourself with a wide selection of goods on sale.  All the traders dressed up in Victorian Costume and street entertainers including Juggling Jim with his musical monkey, Wandering Minstrels and a Victorian Carol Singer were also present during the 2 days to help make the market a vibrant atmosphere for Christmas shoppers to enjoy.

• Stained glass, handmade sun catchers, figures and Christmas decorations
• Handmade decorative candles
• Pet products
• Coppice & Greenwood natural products
• Christmas Hampers with local Herefordshire produce
• Handmade fudge
• Sheepskins, cowhides etc
• Ethnic knitwear, hats, bags, scarves, jewellery and accessories
• Natural aloe vera and bee products
• Baby clothes, hats and toys
• Selection of cheese
• Hot roasted nuts
• Fashion scarves and wooden jewellery
• Apple fruit juice, jams, pickles, chutneys, cider, perry and fruit wines
• Natural potpourri, air fresheners, herbal bath products, lip and hand balm
• Jewellery
• Handmade soap, bath bombs and soap dishes
• Preserves, oils, vinegars, gift packs and handmade sweets
• Knitwear and felted goods
• Sleighs, toboggans, garden galvanised tinware and wooden buckets
• Books, comics and collectibles
• Handcrafted jewellery and craft materials
• Flavoured brandy liqueurs
• Wreaths, mistletoe, holly, garlands

They joined the nearby regular Thursday Farmers Market on the 15th December and a French Market from Normandy joined us on the 16th December, it made a special Christmas Market atmosphere full of wonderful food and excellent Christmas gifts.
