Skills for Climate Change

Skills for Climate Change is offering all small to medium sized businesses, sole traders and start up businesses within Shropshire, Staffordshire, Telford & Wrekin, Warwickshire, Coventry, Worcestershire and Herefordshire free specialised training in renewable energy and environmental technologies.  There are a limited number of free places available in renewable energy technologies such as solar photovoltaic, solar thermal, heat pumps and biomass to plumbers, heating engineers and building services companies.

A business can apply for a member of staff to attend a non-accredited or related training course such as the Quality Management Systems training and a member of staff to attend one renewable technology training session per company.

This training is part of the wider 'Skills for Climate Change' programme supported by the European Social Fund, and has been tailored to support the take up and attainment of the Microgeneration Certification Scheme, enabling local businesses to benefit from the growing renewable energy market.

To discuss your eligibility and your training needs please contact Ben Boswell, Sustainability Team Leader - Herefordshire Council - on 01432 261930 or email bboswell@herefordshire.gov.uk
