Welcome to Herefordshire's Community Involvement and Consultation web-pages.

These pages have been set up to provide up to date news and views on all community involvement and consultation activity in Herefordshire, including:

• sources of advice and best practice tips
• details of useful training opportunities
• ask for help and advice on-line
• Information about past, present and future consultations, with results and information about how Herefordshire Council has used the information it has gathered to inform its policies and services.

Select 'Consultations' from the left hand menu to access our online consultations. If you are an employee of Herefordshire Council or a partner organisation, please tell us about your proposed consultation by completing a Consultation Logging Form and emailing it to the person listed on the form.

Why have these web-pages?

Co-ordinating consultation and involvement is a priority area of work for the Herefordshire Partnership and Herefordshire Council, as more and more groups and organisations are being expected to involve and consult service users, local communities and interest groups. Though this should be welcomed, more consultation can lead to duplication of effort and the growth of consultation fatigue within communities.

As a part of the Herefordshire Partnership's ambition of "encouraging communities to shape the future of Herefordshire", these pages are intended to help raise awareness of best practice in consultation and involvement and aid the joining up of this activity across the County.
